SAMS - Announcing our 59th Season

The Saint Andrew Music Society of Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church announces its 59th Season featuring 12 concerts from October through May. With performances of masterworks by our resident choirs the Saint Andrew Chorale and the New York City Children’s Chorus, our annual Carol Sing, and many guest artists. You are invited to join us for a year of great music making!

Tickets are now available for our major choral concerts featuring the Saint Andrew Chorale & Orchestra: Mozart’s ‘Grand Mass’ in C minor and Haydn’s Te Deum on November 19; Michael Tippett’s A Child of Our Time on April 14; and our 19th Annual Carol Sing featuring Handel’s Messiah with guest instrumentalists on December 17.

Among the highlights of the season, we are thrilled to welcome to our Music on Madison series British pianist Simon Mulligan, Spanish cellist and composer Andrea Casarrubios, and members of Juilliard415, The Juilliard School’s period instrument ensemble, will collaborate with the Ellen and James S. Marcus institute for Vocal Arts performing works from the 16th and 17th Centuries on March 3. Closer to home, our resident professional sopranos Katherine Wessinger & Chloe Holgate will perform Couperin’s Leçons de Tenebre on Palm Sunday, and one of our resident tenor, Marc Molomot, will perform Schubert’s Wintereisse song cycle in January. Our resident New York City Children’s Chorus is now entering its twelfth season, and will join the Saint Andrew Chorale and Choir of MAPC in addition to performing their Spring Concert: “An American Tale” on May 5.

Tickets with assigned seating can now be purchased for our major choral concerts and our ever-popular Carol Sing; tickets for all other concerts with general seating may also now be purchased in advance on our ticketing website.

If you are on our mailing list, you will be receiving the series brochure within the next few days. If you are not currently on our postal mailing list, please email music@mapc.com to request a printed copy.
