Healing was an integral part of the ministry of Jesus, and the church has been called to continue this discipline as one dimension of its concern for the wholeness of its people. The church enacts this ministry through services for healing and wholeness, recognizing that it is a gift of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
On the first Wednesday of each month a service of Healing and Wholeness is held in the sanctuary at 6 pm. This service, which follows the order for the Service for the Lord’s Day, includes hymns, scripture and preaching, as well as a special time of prayers for healing and wholeness, intercessions, supplications, and an opportunity for anointing and laying on of hands (James 5:13-14).
Prayer is the vital element of worship in this service, as it is a time of waiting in faith upon God. The service concludes with the Lord’s Supper.
We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity for corporate and personal prayer.
These services are not held in July and August.
