Music of Russian Composers
Sunday, March 2

Kate Dillingham, Christopher Oldfather, Marti Sweet

This coming Sunday, March 2 at 3 pm, Music Amici will be performing a program comprised of three fascinating chamber works by Russian composers. Music Amici (Marti Sweet, violin; Jill Jaffe, viola; Kate Dillingham, cello; Christopher Oldfather, piano) has frequently been heard live on WQXR and WNYC radio, has championed and recorded works by contemporary composers, and has been hailed “a finely honed ensemble” by Strad Magazine and a “well rehearsed, tight ensemble” by New York’s Daily News.

Sunday’s program will include Sergei Taneyev’s Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 31, for violin, viola & cello; Anton Arensky’s Trio No. 1 in D Minor, Op. 32, for piano, violin & cello; and Shostakovich’s Trio in E Minor, Op. 67, for piano, violin & cello.

Admission is by donation at the door $15 ($10 for students & seniors).
We hope that you can join us for this Sunday’s concert!
