A Musical Banquet - Virtuoso Chamber Music of the Baroque
Works by Biber, Telemann, J. S. Bach, Fasch, Brescianello & Abel

Each semester, the students of the Juilliard Historical Performance program examine one country's musical tradition in detail. In the Baroque, each region had its own musical language, just as it had its own wines and its own cuisine. In this program, the students invite you to think of their banquet as a feast of a particular terroir, as they present a menu of musical delights from the German Baroque. The program includes chamber works by Telemann, Fasch, Brescianello & Able, along with violin sonatas by Bach & Ignaz von Biber, and Bach's Toccata in C minor for harpsichord. For complete program details and artists' biographies, please see the Press Release (.PDF) below.

Admission to the Saint Andrew Music Society's Music on Madison concerts is $20 ($15 Students/62+); children 12 & under: free. Tickets may be purchased online in advance (see below) or at the door.
