A Palm Sunday performance of Bach’s stirring and monumental St. John Passion. Composed and performed during Bach’s first year as the Cantor of the St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, the St. John Passion was first heard on Good Friday, 1724. The gospel account of Christ’s passion and death from John’s gospel account is presented through dramatically conceived recitatives and choruses, with moments of lyrical and poignant reflection in the solo arias and chorales. For performers' biographies, please see the Press Release (PDF file, below).

Admission to Saint Andrew Chorale concerts is: $25 ($20 Students/62+). Tickets may be purchased in advance (see below) or at the door (cash or check only).

Tickets purchased online after March 14 will be held at Will Call. Online ticket purchases can be made until 1 pm on the day of the concert.
