The Casavant organ at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church turns 50 years old this year! Following a thorough restoration, MAPC’s 4,000-pipe instrument is renewed for another 50 years of concerts. The program features works performed at the inaugural concert of the instrument on March 4, 1962, in addition to a work by MAPC’s Director of Music & Organist Emeritus, John Weaver, commissioned in celebration of the occasion. A birthday reception will follow!
