Millie A. Tourtelot
Director of Christian Education and Discipleship
As the Director of Christian Education and Discipleship, Millie is responsible for all religious education programs at MAPC. This includes adult education and discipleship programs, as well as our growing children’s and youth educational ministries.
Millie, a native New Yorker raised in the Presbyterian tradition, brings diverse church and teaching experiences to MAPC. Although she originally pursued joint Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Linguistics from the University of Chicago, her passion for ministry and Biblical studies led her to Princeton Theological Seminary, where she graduated with a Master of Divinity degree. Along the way, Millie has served both established and newly-planted congregations in various denominations in Chicago, Princeton, and New York City. Currently, Millie is working on bringing developments in early childhood education and parenting into the church, but continues to enjoy good, old-fashioned Bible studies with adults as well.
Millie’s husband Max is of Jewish descent, and together they are raising their daughter Arden in both Christian and Jewish traditions.
