In addition to her work with liturgical music at MAPC, she is the Artistic Director of the New York City Children’s Chorus at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, an auditioned children’s choral program of over 140 children from the metropolitan NYC area in eight graded choirs. Recent highlights of the NYCCC season include singing Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, Britten’s Saint Nicolas, and Pergolesi’s Magnificat. The NYCCC’s tour to Washington, DC, included performances at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Georgetown Presbyterian Church, and the Armed Services Retirement Home. From 2004-2012, she was the Director of Children’s Choirs and High School Choir at St. Ignatius Loyola Church in New York City, conducting and administering one of the nation’s finest Catholic children’s choirs. She also prepared her choirs at St. Ignatius for their Carnegie Hall debut in 2009, singing Mahler’s Symphony no. 3 conducted by George Mathew. In addition, Ms. Huff has coached her students for solo performances in a range of NYC venues from Carnegie Hall and St. Patrick’s Cathedral to the studios of Nickelodeon!
Among her favorite press reviews was New York Magazine’s listing of one of her chorister’s performances of Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms as one of the year’s “Top Ten Classical Events in NYC” (Dec. 7, 2008). Her recent recording, ANGEL, with the St. Ignatius Children’s Choir, is available on MSR Classics.

Ms. Huff graduated cum laude from Furman University in 1999, and continued her musical studies on a full scholarship at Yale University where she earned a Master of Music degree in 2001. She continued further post-graduate studies in music education at Westminster Choir College, specializing in the training of children’s choirs. She has taught music to children of all grade levels (K4-12) in Independent, Catholic, and inner-city schools.
